The Notre-Dame Hospital Foundation in Hearst carries out several projects throughout the year. Since 1993, nearly $5 000,000 has been invested to improve and renew medical equipment to ensure the quality of care and services provided to the hospital's patients.

50-50 Lottery
Proceeds from the June-July 50/50 lottery campaign were used to purchase an adjustable examination table for the specialist clinic. This table greatly improves the experience of patients with reduced mobility.

Purchase of curtains by the Auxiliaries
The most recent project of the Auxiliaries of Notre Dame Hospital has just been completed with the purchase of new window coverings for patient rooms located on the long-term care floor.

Community Cares Radiothon 2024
The purchase of an electromyogram, a device used to diagnose carpal tunnel syndrome and other neuromuscular disorders, is greatly appreciated by patients, who can now receive diagnosis and surgery in Hearst.

Hélène-et-Raymond dining room furniture
Funds left by the late Raymond and Hélène Proulx were used to purchase new furniture for the dining room on the long-term care floor of Notre-Dame Hospital. This donation improves residents' comfort and enriches their daily lives.

Royal Canadian Legion Hearst Branch 173
Thanks to a donation from the Royal Canadian Legion Local Branch 173, new furniture for the emergency room and clinic waiting room, as well as spaces in the new hospital wing, was purchased.

90th birthday of Mrs. Doris Ermel
Thanks to donations made in honor of Doris Ermel's 90th birthday, three vital signs monitors were purchased to replace the old ones. These new, more accurate and efficient monitors are essential for the well-being of patients.

Radiothon Community Cares
Funds raised through the Community Cares Radiothon were used to purchase computer software that connects our hospital to a network of hospitals that share patient medical data in real time, allowing for faster and more coordinated care by physicians.

Joanis Garden and Gazebo
Thanks to the donation from Lise, Lauryanne and Denis Joanis, this peaceful space allows the hospital's patients to enjoy beautiful summer days in a place sheltered from mosquitoes and bad weather.
Every year, Lise Joanis continues to sow the garden with magnificent flowers.
